week 8

one day, when I sit down and catch up on like 2 months worth of blogs... I'll tell you all about my trip to CA. How I cried upon entering Twentynine Palms, and then how I slowly felt better after seeing base... and that there were several areas with grass. How I loved the warmth and hated it at the same time. And how I'm actually excited for our opportunity to live there... no matter how scared I am about it. Remind me, will ya?

Matt pulled over on old Route 66 to take this for me. I saw it in my mind, and had to have it. He stopped 4 times while we were there, just so I could get out and snap. He loves me.

week 8

he took a few (two?) on the film camera around my neck too. It's a Nikon EM. It's my dad's old camera. I kind of love using it. I just need to see if I know what I'm doing when we get the film developed, I guess that's where the proof is. LOL.

week 7

This is a shot from the boys party. A friend let us borrow this costume, and Darin wore it very proudly. Participating in Vader breathing, light saber matches and well, general party fun. Matt likes Star Wars like a normal person watches Star Wars... Darin & I, well we're downright geeks about our love. And we're okay with that.

My car proudly sports 5 Stormtrooper heads, 1 of them with a wonderful pink bow :P

Week 6.

week 6 straight up

My mom has this front area/foyer. It's so well lit, at all times. It has the greatest light, and I love it. So I'll park myself there with my camera, and let the boys play with their toys in the hallway closet. I ask questions, and play and interact and snap when I feel the moment is right.

plums.

my oldest two have a serious issue with taking fruit. They take 1 bite, then leave it some where random. Sawyer without a doubt finds said fruit within minutes and will eat the whole darned thing! A few days ago he ate TWO plums. Today, he put an entire apple down. I had to take away the core. He got mad at me.

I posted these on FB, then realized FB ruins pictures and had to post them here for clarity! <3

Week 5 Snuggle.

Darin was an easy teether, way easy... TOO easy. He got cranky 1 day, and then the next day he had two more teeth. No fevers, not a lot of drool, just 1 day of cranky then bam teeth. Callen I didn't even want the crankies, so he's worn an amber necklace his entire life. Sawyer I did the same thing, except he had to have xray a few weeks back when he was battling the same stinkin' cold for weeks on end. I had to take his necklace off, and now it's missing. I probably left in on the xray table. But I can't find it. Who knows where it is.

He's probably just an "average" teether, but dang it's hard! He's feverish, cranky and clingy! And the poor thing doesn't hold on. Between 22 and 25 lbs of 11.5 month old who won't hold on! That's a lot on a momma's arm! So ring sling it is. This ring sling was made for me by Misty, and it's taken the place of woven wraps around here. The ease in which I can put Callen or Sawyer on is remarkable. This thing needs to be bronzed when I'm done with it. I LOVE it. Although, I don't currently have a woven wrap here in NC.... maybe I should go by the fabric store and try it out. ...

Regardless of any of that. Here's week 5, Snuggle.

Week 4 {blessed}

Week 4 ::blessed::

Week 4 Blessed

FOUR weeks, and I've managed it. Woo Woo. Only 48 more to go! And I can handle that. I did it four weeks in a row!! Now, I haven't posted on time, but really, I can't promise that. And nor did I ever, so I'm good with it. As long as I have these captures for my personal use.

I actually took this yesterday. We've been doing so much this week. Having fun, and getting out of the house. It's been heavenly. The boys get worn out, and well so do I, but it's been a blast! Seems like my life changes are getting things done!

I'm learning to balance naptime, between napping, editing/posting, and my Norwex business. So far, so good.

Yesterday, we played and had a ball. I had seen on Pinterest (see the original posting of it here). Darin did it, with hardly any issues (other than it bored him, so then he started being bored, and well, bored 3 year old=scary!) so I thought I'd let Callen do it. But if you give one kid a strainer, you kind of have to give all kids a strainer. Luckily, my mom has 3 (well, 4 but I kept one hidden). It was a joy watching what they could do with just a strainer. The ideas, they came up with. Such a blessing.

week 3.

three ::chill

Week 3 was pretty much a relaxing week for us. Not much activity, not much of anything, just relaxing.

I love the light in my mom's house. It's absolutely gorgeous! this is downstairs (on the stairs, using the light from a window behind me)
